We visited on a recommendation from a longtime local. A locals breakfast spot where the waitresses have country swag and the food satisfies hungry bellies. Nothing fancy about its location or interior. Not for everyone. Definitely for those who love local fare in a hole in the wall. Our breakfast was truly something. That ham steak was huge. The steak tender and juicy. Potatoes crunchy outside and soft inside. Coffee was a mild brew. The biscuit and homemade sausage gravy was the best. I heard their dinner menu is just as great. When we go back to Tampa, this is the one spot I will revisit again and again.
Great food, great service, great prices- what more could you ask for? The atmosphere is casual and friendly. They serve the best breakfast in town. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich on Texas toast is excellent too. Their best sides are onion rings, collard greens and mac and cheese. The daily specials are good too.
Fantastic Food and Friendly Service! We had an amazing meal at Smitty's Smokehouse Restaurant in Dade City! The bacon cheeseburgers were absolutely delicious—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The macaroni and cheese was creamy and rich, the french fries were crispy and seasoned just right, and the bread pudding was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. The staff was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere had that perfect blend of cozy and casual, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy some truly great food. If you're in the area and craving a fantastic meal, we highly recommend Smitty's Smokehouse! We’ll definitely be back!
We had the fried catfish with coleslaw, hush puppies, baked beans and cheese grits. Excellent food, great service and we will be going back, often.
I visited Smitty's for the second time. The first time, a friend introduced me and we ordered breakfast. Both of us had half orders of biscuits and gravy with an egg on top. I ended up ordering an extra biscuit as there was so much gravy left over. The portion was humongous, n breakfast was delicious. Last night I ordered a patty melt n Smitty's famous onion rings. Neither, were a disappointment. Once again the portions were large as well as delicious. My burger was cooked to perfection. I ordered it medium rare, n it was just as I wanted. I'm looking forward to experiencing other things on the menu. The great service just added to an amazing experience all together. Smitty's restaurant is a gold mine. I'll be back.
